The Alexandria Police Department is investigating an industrial accident in the 700 block of Wythe Street. On Wednesday, Oct. 19, around 7:30 a.m., a crane struck a live electrical wire at a construction site. The wire fell, striking a 44-year-old male construction worker. The victim suffered electrical burns and was transported to a local hospital. He is in critical but stable condition. Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
