To the Editor:
For the last 30 years of my activism, I have worked to promote political engagement among Arab Americans in the Greater Washington D.C. area. I am working to unite all communities and political participation is a key part of that.
Congresswoman Barbara Comstock has earned my support, and the support of many of my Arab-American friends and neighbors, because of her unwavering commitment to religious freedom and human rights. Comstock has always been willing to engage and listen to all communities, regardless of their ethnic background or origin. She embodies the principles on which America was founded.
Comstock has always been committed to religious freedom. She is a Catholic, but treats all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of their differences in faith. She knows that religious freedom is a human right, to be protected and sanctified. But most importantly, Comstock has always been willing to engage with all of the communities in her diverse district. She truly represents all of her constituents. I am proud to support Congresswoman Comstock for re-election.
