More than 90 people attended the Office of the Arts Oct. 7, First Friday: Family Art Night at the Durant Arts Center. Families had opportunities to paint, create mosaic trivets or create games out of cardboard. The next First Friday is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 4, “Dances Around the World.” Featured Heritage Dance Groups will be Boyle School of Irish Dance; Centro Cultural Peru; Hālau O’ Aulani, Native Hawaiian; Tisza Ensemble, Traditional Hungarian Folk Dance; Pillerkaar Estonian Folk Dance; and Dances from Israel, Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia.
