Crime Report: The following incidents were reported by the Town of Herndon Police Department.

Burglary-Commercial Feb. 18 200-Block Elden Street 201700678

An employee of the business heard a loud noise at the rear of the building and went to investigate. The employee found the suspect exiting the business through a window. There was no damage to the business and nothing was missing. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early 20’s, 5’3” tall, with short hair, wearing a light grey t-shirt and blue jeans. The incident is under investigation.

Attempted Robbery-Person Feb. 19 1100-Block Elden Street 201700684

The victim and the suspect met on the Internet and agreed to meet at a hotel. Once inside the hotel room, the victim alleged that the suspect attempted to rob him, by threatening him with a electronic stun device. The victim was not injured, left the room and contacted the police. The suspect was interviewed, and denied attempting to rob the victim. The victim then refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Accident/Child Endangerment Feb. 11 700-Block Grace St. 201700579

Following a verbal altercation, a suspect known to the victim followed him in her vehicle and intentionally struck his vehicle three times. During the incident the suspect had her two juvenile children in her vehicle. There were no injuries reported. A 24-year-old woman from Reston was arrested on two counts of child endangerment, driving on suspended license, and reckless driving.
