A red-carpet film premiere of the new documentary, "Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives," was held on Friday, Oct. 27, at the Bow Tie Cinemas on Market Street in Reston Town Center. It was part of the Washington West Film Festival where some 40 films were screened mostly in Reston and Arlington cinemas between Oct. 25-30, 2017.

Directed by Chris Perkel, the 123-minute documentary is a profile of legendary music producer Clive Davis, which spans five decades of his career. His famous clients included Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Santana, Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, Patti Smith, Alicia Keys, and Sean “Puffy” Combs.

The Washington West Film Festival featured films, documentaries, narratives, short films, host Q&A panels, workshops, parties and receptions. Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall arrived on the red carpet and introduced guest Clive Davis at a Q&A session following the screening. Afterwards, guests took part in a Pavilion Party at Reston Town Center.
