Kam Spain, 21, Vienna resident and barista at Starbucks is excited to have more snow in the new year. “I hate snow, but I have to look forward to because it’s going to happen anyway. It’s because I lived in Louisiana pretty much all of my life so I have never seen snow.” (Spain has lived in the area for four years.)

Katie Walsh, who lives in McLean, a beauty advisor at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Vienna. “My New Year’s resolution is to definitely move out of my parent’s place. I’m almost 22 so it’s about time to get out there and get on my own, to focus on growth and do my own thing. I hope to move somewhere like Falls Church or Washington, D.C. I want it to be close to home but far enough to be away from my family.”
