With temperatures in the mid-90s, close to 4,000 people from the McLean community came out for the annual Fourth of July fireworks held at Churchill Road Elementary School on July 4, 2018. The event sponsored by the McLean Community Center included fireworks, food trucks, and a DJ to help celebrate the nation’s 242nd birthday. The MCC has been sponsoring the fireworks, which are discharged from Cooper Middle School, for about 30 years, said Catherine Nesbitt, Special Events Manager with the McLean Community Center.
