Drug Take Back Initiative Nets 577 Pounds of Medications

On April 28, the Town of Vienna Police Department in conjunction with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, (D.E.A.), participated in the 15th National Drug Take Back Initiative. As a result of that initiative the Town of Vienna Police Department collected and safely disposed of 577 pounds of expired or no longer needed medications from area citizens. The Vienna Police Department plans to continue its participation in future D.E.A. initiatives.

Allergy Heroes Walk to Be Held in Vienna

Northern Virginia FARE Food Allergy Heroes Walk will be held on Sunday, June 10 at Nottoway Park in Vienna. This year’s walk will help raise critical funds and awareness to create a safer, more inclusive world for children and adults living with food allergies. Registration and activities will go from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:45 a.m. There will be mission driven arts and crafts, a DJ, face and nail painting, engaging activities, allergy friendly vendors, superheroes, games, silent auction, photo booth, and a walk around the park.
