Rita Olson, beloved Music and Science Teacher at The Country Day School in McLean, has passed away. After a courageous battle with cancer for the past 6 months, Rita passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, Feb. 1.
Known as Mrs. Olson to the children at Country Day, Rita was a member of the faculty for almost 45 years. She began her career at Country Day as a classroom teacher, later taking over the music and science enrichments. She will be sorely missed as an integral part of the Country Day School community.
