McDonnell Proves To Be ‘Fairfax’s Own’
Governor-elect shows Republicans can still win countywide in high-profile races.
MANY INDEPENDENT POLLS had predicted for weeks that former Attorney General Bob McDonnell (R) would beat Democrat Creigh Deeds in the Virginia’s gubernatorial election Nov. 3. But few local Republican activists expected McDonnell to carry Fairfax County.
“Honestly? No, I did not think this would happen. Garfield students walk to raise awareness of homelessness.
GRAY SKIES AND intermittent rain did not deter Garfield Elementary students from walking around the school field all-day Friday, as part of the Fannie Mae Walk for the Homeless.
