Cheerleaders with the Southwestern Youth Association Extreme held a fundraiser at Tropical Smoothie in Centreville on Tuesday, July 21 and raised $453. SYA's goal is to provide a fundamental understanding of the sport and help mold young athletes into successful competitors at the high school level and beyond. Of those actively cheering at the high school level, many are former SYA cheerleaders who currently populate teams at Westfield and Centreville.
