On Saturday, June 6, George Mason University hosted the Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic. During the free event, former pros Harmon Killebrew, Paul Blair, Fred Valentine, Jim Hannan and Jim Coates taught baseball fundamentals to 170 local children ages 6-15. ‘I am a pitcher and I got to learn about pitching from a former MLB player [Jim Coates], who also pitched in the World Series,’ said Alec Sames, 11, pictured here with his father, John Sames, and Coates, right.
