Cadet First Class Mark Behne, CVHS 2012, and SWAB Jacob “Jake” Behne, CVHS 2015, share a brief moment to pose for mom and dad at R-Day at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., on June 29. Jake hopes to follow in Mark’s footsteps and play both football and baseball for the Coast Guard Bears. But first, Jake has to make it through the seven weeks of basic training upon the successful completion of which he will be declared a Cadet Fourth Class.
