The “Constructions and Meditations” exhibit is based on artist Tory Cowles experience as a carpenter, woodworker, stone wall builder and interior decorator. She describes her work as evolving from a stream of consciousness using deep colors, collaged paper and fabrics, and loose, layered paint. “Constructions and Meditations” is on view at the new Artists & Makers Studios in Rockville at 11810 Parklawn Drive from June 3-30.
