Damion Sanchez from South County High School in Lorton, pictured with his mother, Cynthia Sanchez, won 2nd Place and a cash award of $750 for his digital photo, “Park’s Here” in Arts Herndon’s Technology + Art = Now Competition open to students in all Fairfax County Public Schools. Damien said, “I wanted to shoot this exact photo… it took me four takes to get the light and pose right.” Damien will attend California State Long Beach majoring in Business Management. “Hopefully I’ll become a freelance photographer after a successful business career. My money from business; my passion from photography.”
