Storytelling Troupe Leads Audience-Riveting Workshops
Better Said Than Done Launches Storytelling Classes
Better Said Than Done, Northern Virginia’s premier storytelling troupe, is launching a series of storytelling workshops and classes for anyone who wants to learn how to tell a story that their audience will love to hear—whether that’s a personal story or the story of their business—or learn how to enhance their storytelling performances. The first workshop, "Spotlight on You," will be held on Oct. 13, 2012, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Epicure Cafe, 11213 Lee Highway, Fairfax. Brief: Arlington Senior Olympians Awarded
94 Gold, 68 Silver, 41 Bronze.
In the recently concluded Northern Virginia Senior Olympics several long standing records were broken. Participation was the highest in its 30-year history and the highest number of events — 40 — were offered. It was also a bonus year for Arlington which celebrated a 20 percent increase in participation and the largest number of medals awarded. The total medal count was 94 Gold, 68 Silver and 41 Bronze.

Potomac Day, the annual community festival sponsored by the Potomac Chamber of Commerce, is just around the corner. The day-long celebration is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 20 in Potomac Village, kicking off with the annual Potomac Day Parade up River Road to Falls Road at 10:30 a.m.
