Stone’s Panther Drop-Off, Community Help ONC in Centreville
The nonprofit, all-volunteer Our Neighbor’s Child (ONC) is collecting presents for local families in need to give to their children on Christmas. To donate new clothes or toys, or to help with the deliveries, this Sunday, Dec. 14, email Volunteer@ourneighborschild.org.
Scouting for Food in Centreville
The annual Boy Scouts Scouting for Food drive was Saturday, Nov. 8. More than 900 Boy Scouts plus more than 800 other volunteers collected, packed and delivered nearly 59,000 pounds of food to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries for its food pantry for local families in need.

Chantilly Snapshot: Police Honor Chick-Fil-A
Chick-Fil-A’s Peter Kim (left) receives a plaque from police 1st Lt. Matt Owens. The restaurant was honored during the Feb. 10 meeting of the Sully District Station’s Citizens Advisory Committee. Owens, the assistant station commander, said Chick-Fil-A donated food to the police officers working on New Year’s Eve and has partnered with the station on various community projects. The plaque recognized Chick-Fil-A for its “continued, outstanding support and dedication to the men and women of the Sully District Police Station.”
