The 4th Annual Quality of Life Plus (QL+) Veterans Day BBQ brings the attorney general of Virginia, state delegates and County supervisors, other elected officials, active duty and Veteran service members, local sports celebrities, and media personalities together to eat BBQ, bid on auction items, participate in family activities and “Empower Heroes Through Technology”—the event theme—through seeing QL+ assistive devices, made on a case-by-case basis to help veterans live with fewer physical limitations.
Reston Thanksgiving Food Drive Begins
Reston Community Center, Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Reston Interfaith bring chance to serve.
Reston Community Center (RCC) kicked off their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive on Monday, Nov. 5, in partnership with Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Reston Interfaith. Donations will be accepted through Nov. 19, and volunteers will sort and deliver donations on Thanksgiving Day. The Food Drive was previously planned to begin on Nov. 1 and was delayed due to the impacts of Hurricane Sandy.

Potomac Community Resources, Inc. (PCR), a Montgomery County organization providing programs for teens and adults with developmental differences, recently named Edward Yao 2015 Outstanding Youth Volunteer. Reverend C. L. Bryant to Speak at Republican Women of Clifton April Meeting
Reverend C. L. Bryant, former president of the Garland, Texas chapter of the NAACP and noted speaker will speak at the April 16 meeting of the Republican Women of Clifton (RWC). Rev. Bryant is a conservative activist and frequent commentator on Fox News. He dazzled audiences at Glenn Beck’s FreePAC event when he encouraged thousands in the audience to "defend the republic" while also tackling the enslavement of government dependency. Rev. Bryant is a radio and television host and creator of the independent film, The Runaway Slave, a movie about the race to free the Black community from the slavery of tyranny and progressive policies.
