The community has rallied together behind the new local film in progress "The Senior Prank." Director Donald Leow, who also directed previous film "For the Glory," has brought in cast and crew from all over the country, while recruiting local talent for his film as well. Many members of the Fairfax community have gathered to be extras, show their talent on screen, help with tech, or just support the film.
Footsteps of Reston is Leaving South Lakes Center
The oldest existing running specialty store in Northern Virginia is leaving South Lakes Shopping Center in Reston to look for a new home. Footsteps owner Paul Zink started the business in 1987, opening his first store in Springfield on April 15, 1988, as a Fleet Feet franchise. In 1995 he started independently owned Footsteps of Reston at South Lakes Center and along with Safeway and CVS, Footsteps has been the longest existing business in the center.

Spring Art Exhibit Opens at Great Falls Library
An art exhibition featuring 43 paintings, photographs, art quilts and other new works by Great Falls artists, opened April 3 and will be displayed through the end of the month at the main conference room of the Great Falls Community Library. Several of the artists are exhibiting with Great Falls Studios for the first time. The show is sponsored by Great Falls Studios, a network of artists based in Great Falls.

Miniature Recreations of Americana Come to Vienna
Mount Vernon Miniatures Club Exhibits at Freeman Store and Museum.
At Freeman Store and Museum on Oct. 25 and 26, the Mount Vernon Miniatures Club presented its first exhibit at the Museum, featuring room boxes and doll houses. The exhibit took over Freeman House’s parlor and dining room with 30 pieces from mini-miniature to larger-scale miniature vignette recreations.
