In July, Jeff Waters’ three-acre corn maze was just a figment of his imagination. The stubby stalks were behind schedule but he never lost hope they would make it in time. When Whitehall Farms, LLC -- over 200 acres bordering on the Clifton, Fairfax Station and Fairfax areas -- opened its first annual Fall Fun Days festival on Sept. 19, the corn was plenty high to get lost in.

Herndon Holds a Vigil for Teenagers

Herndon was struck by a tragedy Friday morning, Aug. 7, when three recent Herndon High School graduates were killed in a car accident in Texas. Kyle Mathers, 19, Dale Neibaur, 19, and Holly Novak, 18, were beloved members of the Herndon community, which gathered together at the church to hold a vigil for the teenagers.

Superman and the gang will be live and in person as performed by Theatre Unspeakable in the new "Superman 2050." "The moment I saw 'Superman 2050' at a conference in Philadelphia last year I knew I had to book them for the Alden. The show is just so unique," said Kathleen Herr, director of Youth Programs, Alden Theatre, McLean Community Center.
