The Arlington Players (TAP) will perform "Deathtrap," the longest running comedy-thriller ever on Broadway, Feb. 5-7 and 12-13, at the Thomas Jefferson Community Theatre in Arlington. The show is a blend of mystery, plot reversals and humor. Its author, Ira Levin, wrote both "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Stepford Wives."

The Little Theater of Alexandria (LTA) is presenting the "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" from Feb. 27 to March 19. The show where the cast plays themselves is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's 37 plays in 97 minutes. It was also London's longest-running comedy, having clocked nine years in London's West End.
Vienna Teen Wins National Gold Medal in Art

Razan Elbaba, 17, a senior at Oakton High School in Vienna, won the Gold Medal Portfolio and a $10,000 scholarship in the 2016 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in New York.
