Meetings planned this month to develop the ‘Active Fairfax Plan’
With the warm weather approaching, Fairfax County is holding a series of meetings to hear thoughts about active transportation in the county, and this input will be used in their Active Fairfax Transportation Plan to integrate the existing Bicycle Master and Trails Plans.

The McLean Community Center (MCC) opened registration for its fall session classes, events and activities on Monday, Aug. 19, for the residents of Small District 1A-Dranesville who pay a special real estate tax surcharge to fund the center. All others can begin registering on Monday, Aug. 26.

Fairfax Station artist, Lynn Goldstein, has just completed work for the humanitarian and multi-national exhibition, “Amen-A Prayer for the World,” to take place at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. (Aug. 31 – Oct. 6) and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City (Oct. 12 – Nov. 6).
