<lst>Fairfax City resident Mary Petersen has been appointed to represent Fairfax City on the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees. Petersen succeeds Randy I. Bellows who resigned due to his appointment to a circuit judgeship. Petersen is senior vice president and director of research for Cassidy and Pinkard, a real-estate services firm in the D.C. area.
Elyse Fiore of Woodson High School and Erin McElrath of Robinson High School, both in Fairfax, joined female singers from around the country in the National Women\'92s Honor Choir. Fiore and McElrath were among four members of the Fairfax Choral Society Master Singers who were chosen by a nationwide audition to perform at the American Choral Directors Association national convention in New York City on Feb. 15.
Bonnie Kyte of Re/Max Choice in Fairfax has been inducted into the Omega Tau Rho Fraternity by the Virginia Association of Realtors. Members subscribe to the organization's strict Code of Ethics and are recognized for their leadership abilities.
