<lst>The Third Marine Division Association will hold its annual Family Reunion August 16-21 at the Sheraton National Hotel, 900 S. Orme St., Arlington. Anyone who served in support of the Third Marine Division at any time since it was formed in 1942 is eligible and cordially invited to attend. For membership and reunion information contact Sgt. Twenty-Seven Arlington county employees were recognized recently for their service in the national guard. Six County employees are curently working in the national Guard. Arlington county has been recognized by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for it's support of employees in the national guard.

Carey E. McIntyre, the son of Gerald B. McIntyre of Arlington, graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. McIntyre is currently attending the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.

Army Pvt. Teresa C. Antezana, the daughter of Julieta Pera of Arlington, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Navy Seaman Michael V. Febres, son of Victor F. Febres of Arlington, and his shipmates made a port visit to Sydney, Australia while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. On the first day of the visit, Febres's ship hosted a reception for more than 1,000 Australian dignitaries and conducted tours for more than 3,000 guests. Febres joined the Navy in December 2001.

Lara K. Schoomaker graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. The 33 days of training provides the best possible professional training and evaluation for all cadets in the aspects of military life, administration and logistical support. She is the daughter of Peter J. Schoomaker of Fort Meyer, Va., and Cindy A. Schoomaker of Tampa, Fla. The cadet is a 2002 graduate of the Tampa Preparatory School.
