On the Fourth of July, Fairfax County police received a complaint about a naked man exposing himself to passing motorists on Route 28 by E.C. Lawrence Park. Although he reportedly sped off into the woods on a bicycle, police say they were able to apprehend him.
They charged Charles S. Harrison, 41, of 4807 Walney Knoll Court in Chantilly's Poplar Park community, with three counts of indecent exposure. Now, police have added two more counts of the same offense — for five total against him. These stem from a separate incident, a month earlier.
According to police, on June 4 around 7 p.m., a naked man was standing in some woods near the Sequoia Farms community pool at 5101 Sequoia Farms Drive in Centreville. Police say he exposed himself and committed a lewd act in view of the two juvenile girls who were at the pool.
The girls screamed, and the man fled back into the woods toward Poplar Tree Road. Police said they identified the man as Harrison and, on July 13, they arrested him in connection with this incident.
They charged him with two counts of indecent exposure — one, a misdemeanor, and the other, a felony because the victim was under the age of 14. The felony charge is punishable by a possible maximum of five years in prison.
Harrison was released on $5,500 bond and has an Aug. 5 court date. He is also scheduled to appear in court, Sept. 23, on his earlier charges.
