Animal care technician Alix Roueche, 27, of Centreville holds Brice, a Shih Tsu mix Aug. 19 at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center at Fairfax Station Road and Tinkers Lane. He was transferred to the non-profit organization a couple of days earlier from a kill shelter elsewhere in Virginia.
