Families enjoyed Potomac Horse Center Open House and North Potomac Community Day on Sunday, May 6 with hayrides, free horse and pony rides for children, barn tours, and horseback riding demonstrations, personalized horseshoes, moon bounce and more. Church Street Holiday Stroll in Vienna
Hundreds come out to music, marshmallows and winter magic.
Hundreds of people strolled along Church Street on Monday evening, Dec. 2, during the annual Church Street Holiday Stroll between Lawyers Road and Mill Street. Highlights included local singing groups performing holiday carols, a petting zoo, marshmallow-roasting on open fires, hot chocolate and a visit with Santa.

‘Hopa Tropa Kukerica!’
The Ambassador Theater presented “Hopa Tropa Kukerica!,” a Bulgarian masquerade with puppetry, song and dance April 1 at the George Washington Masonic Temple in Alexandria. The play was conceived and directed by Lilia Slavova with choreographer Ivan Dimitrov, set designer Antonio Petrov, puppet design by Julia Tashev and music arranger Petko Kilov. Spring Break Camp at Children’s Theatre
The Heroes were on stage competing against the Villains in a rehearsal of “Family” Feud while across the hall a sequel to the “Gingerbread Boy,” the “Gingerbread Girl” was in early stages at Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre’s Spring Break Camp. Honoring George Washington
Mount Vernon was visited by many Monday all hoping to honor General George Washington. Members of the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry’s Old Guard fired a 21 gun salute in honor of Gen. George Washington on Monday morning at the Mount Vernon Estate. Gov. Terry McAuliffe was in attendance at the Monday morning wreath laying at Washington's tomb in Mount Vernon.

Herndon: Senior Tea Sweetened with Art
