On Dec. 20, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church held their annual children’s Christmas party. Children were able to create Christmas crafts, have their pictures taken with the one and only Saint Nick, and enjoy a delicious hot dog dinner.

Google VP to Speak at The Langley School

On Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m., The Langley School will host its Distinguished Speaker Series featuring Vinton G. Cerf, Google vice president and chief Internet evangelist. Partnering to Provide Children Medical, Dental Care

Margery Leveen Sher described the Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP) Foundation’s work at the May 30 Hispanic Business Summit hosted by the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Latino Advisory Board. Sher exhorted the Hispanic business leaders to become involved in this special public/private partnership which provides medical and dental care to children in low-income families without access to physicians and dentists.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Greenspring was recognized by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for 15 successful years in Fairfax County. Greenspring celebrated the community’s 15th anniversary on Nov. 17 and is now home to nearly 2000 residents and the workplace of nearly 1000 staff members.

Vandal Damages Windows of Council Chamber Building

Police arrived at the Herndon Town Council Chamber building Friday night, Jan. 17, to find that several large windows around the outside of the building had been smashed. Witnesses reported seeing a tall black male throw an object at the Council Chamber building in downtown Herndon at 10:45 p.m. before taking off running toward Grace Street.
