Arlington Brief: County, Hospital Negotiating
The Arlington County Board approved last month an agreement to grant Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) an option to purchase county-owned land. This agreement, reached at the board’s December meeting, will allow VHC to expand onto 5.5 acres.

For the unveiling of the club’s new Crescent Lounge and upscale restaurant Reserve, members were invited to the Tower Club’s winter wonderland re-opening celebration on Jan. 8.
Brief: SYA Soccer Launches U8 Academy Program
SYA Soccer is launching a new U8 Academy Program starting in the Fall of 2014. This 10-month comprehensive training program will focus on individual player development of technical and tactical skills. The Academy players will take part in twice weekly training sessions, crossover U8 games with fellow CCL clubs and winter indoor training and league games.
Springfield Dance Student Trains at School of Nashville Ballet’s Summer Program
Emily Glaccum who studies at the Ballet Nova Center of Dance was admitted to the School of Nashville Ballet’s Summer Intensive Program. There Emily spent part of the summer developing her ballet technique and performance skills.
