LEGO Representatives from Denmark to Visit McLean Camp
“I am learning a lot here. It’s like playing, but I know I am learning things too,” said Claire, 10, and Jake Varley, 11, of Annandale. This summer, Fun Bot Lab opened its second camp location in Annandale at Holy Spirit School and is now celebrating a week long visit from representatives of the LEGO Education group located in Billund, Denmark.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is proposing to remove large numbers of trees, and other vegetation, along I-395, between Seminary Road and Sanger Avenue. The removal is needed, says VDOT, to widen I-395, so that there will be room for ramp from the HOV lanes, going northbound, to connect to Seminary Road.

Angie (Donnell) Officer, a ’88 Rochester Institute of Technology graduate who majored in graphic design, has always kept busy in her personal and professional life. She worked as an art director and handled public relations before joining Sprint Corp. in 1992 as an account manager for relay services in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Virginia. Today, she’s a senior implementation program manager for Sprint Relay, overseeing relay service in 32 states, as well as serving as chairperson of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) Alumni Association Board of Directors.
