<bt>To the Editor:
I understand that there is an election coming up and I know that the campaigns need to put up their signs and try to outdo one another to see how many signs can fit on one median. However, I believe the Mark Sickles (D) campaign has crossed the line. As if placing political signs on school property wasn’t bad enough, now they are on Fort Belvoir’s property. The Army and the schools will now need to spend precious resources taking down the signs. It is not the job of our school staff or military to take down political signs. I’m sure they have better things to do with their time, like teach our children or protect our country. There are appropriate places for political signs, but government property is not one of them.
