Fairfax County Fire and Rescue is currently looking for paramedics, females and minority applicants.
Although they need more personnel in these areas, the application process is elaborate and includes a series of exams ranging from written, physical and a polygraph to medical and psychological evaluations before being placed in a waiting-list pool for two-years.
