Watch Union Station’s Holiday Model Train wind its way through the mountains and fjords of Norway’s landscape and see the transition from Norway’s 100-year-old setting to the country’s contemporary atmosphere of today.

<sh>DINE AT POTOWMACK LANDING AND VIEW THE DECORATED BOATS
<bt>Many of the boats at the Washington Sailing Marina are decorated for the holidays. Enjoy these lights while dining at Potowmack Landing, located at 1 Marina Drive, Alexandria. Potowmack Landing overlooks the Potomac River and Washington DC’s monuments. It is described as a "Contemporary American Fish House" featuring a seasonally changing menu by award winning Chef Duane Keller.
<sh>GO DOWNTOWN FOR THE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT OF PEACE
<bt>The 82nd Lighting of The National Christmas Tree will be held Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. at The Ellipse near The White House. This is the beginning of three weeks of celebration in music for the Christmas Pageant of Peace which will be held each night during December, with musical groups primarily from the Washington area performing for the entertainment of visitors to the Ellipse.

<bt>Pentagon Row Plaza Ice Skating Rink is now open through mid-March 2006
Come out and enjoy some outdoor fun. Invite friends and family for a day of ice-skating. Skaters can sign up for skating lessons or rent the rink for a private party. Adults are $7 and kids 12 and under are $6. There is also a $3 skate rental fee.
