Herndon Town Council Votes to End Town Manager Employment

Action is effective immediately; no reasons provided.

The Herndon Town Council voted at its Sept. 29 meeting to end the employment of Town Manager Dan Hoffman, effective immediately, according to an Oct. 1 Facebook post by the Town of Herndon Government.

“This is a personnel matter. To respect the privacy of everyone involved, the Town will not comment further on the reasons for the Council’s decision,” Mayor Keven LeBlanc said in the post. “The Council will share information about next steps for the Town Manager position at the appropriate time.”

“We wish Mr. Hoffman the best in his future endeavors,” LeBlanc added.

Deputy Town Manager Kirstyn Jovanovich will serve as interim town manager.

“I appreciate the trust the Council has placed in me and in our leadership team during this transition,” Jovanovich said.
