Mark Alan Bunney Jr., a member of Boy Scout Troop 966 in Sterling, received his Eagle Award during a Court of Honor Ceremony attended by fellow Scouts, family and friends at the Sterling Ruritan Club, Oct. 21. Mark has been a Boy Scout since elementary school and achieved the rank of Eagle by earning a total of 25 merit badges and demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of skills. He's held several leadership positions and is also a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. With help from friends and fellow Scouts, Mark raised funds and built a privacy fence to block the view of port-o-johns in the historical area of Claude Moore Park as his Eagle project. Mark is a junior at Park View High School. Troop 966 is sponsored by the Sterling Ruritan Club.
