Pink-aid, a breast cancer awareness fund-raiser held Friday, Sept. 26, was sponsored by Broad Run DECA who asked Briar Woods to join in by having attendees to the night's football game wear pink and buy event-related items. Broad Run raised $7,500 and Briar Woods $4,300. All monies are being donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Students worked hard showed great spirit and a good time was had by all.
Some sponsors and donations included Darrell Green, Chris Cooley, Pump It Up, DSW, The Zarou Family, Tropical Smoothie King, Giant, Lansdowne Golf Club, Red Robin, Serenity Day Spa, Tiffany Nails and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
