On Sunday, June 14, the Chantilly Youth Association Bearcats, a seventh-grade boys’ basketball team, won their Spring League championship at Herndon High School. The Bearcats were coached by Doug Sawitzky. Trailing by as many as 13 points, the Bearcats stormed back to grab a 46-45 win and finish the year at 11-2.
