During a rehearsal, John (Daniel Perkes), Rose's beau on the far left, rushes in to tell Tootie (Samantha Schipani), Mrs. Smith (Cara Newlon), Mr. Smith (Kevin Place) and Rose (Elena Lagon) that he will be attending Columbia University to be closer to Rose in New York only to find out that the family is not actually moving.
