‘Coins for Kids’

From Nov. 12-30, students at Lees Corner Elementary participated in "Coins for Kids", a fundraising
activity benefitting "Literacy Lifeboats" which uses all proceeds to get books and supplies directly to the hardest hit schools from Hurricane Sandy. Buckets were placed throughout the school and coins collected on a daily basis. Through much effort and hard work, they raised $1,709. Coins were then taken to a local bank and counted by the automatic coin counter.
