The memorial took place last Thursday morning in the Memorial Circle at Ivy Hill. In the center of the circle is an obelisk erected by the citizens of Alexandria in memory of the seven firefighters of Company 4 who lost their lives in a King Street store fire on Nov. 17, 1855.
