More than 100 volunteers spread out around the City of Alexandria on Saturday, Oct. 27 to do energy upgrades for 25 low-income and elderly homeowners to help them save money and live healthier as part of Rebuilding Together Alexandria’s Energize Alexandria event. One of the homes belonged to an 83-year-old Alexandria resident — a widower, retired steamfitter and veteran.
