Alexandria's Chief Animal Control Officer Joy Wilson, left, receives the Public Service Award from Virginia Animal Control Association president Michael Quesenberry in recognition of her significant contributions to improving the image of the animal control profession. Wilson was nominated for her efforts in pushing two ordinances through City Council that made changes to the existing leash regulations.
