The "Strive Today for a Healthier Way" Prevention Conference for middle school students and parents was held Saturday, April 13, at Falls Church High School. The conference was organized by the Unified Prevention Coalition of Fairfax County. Neuropsychologist William Stixrud, Ph.D. (above), was the keynote speaker, discussing the mysteries of the teen brain. Youth attended a variety of workshops from Zumba to martial arts to help them find healthy alternatives to stress, alcohol and drugs (below).
