Community Clean-up
Mount Vernon High School students recently participated in a newly formed community service project, "MVHS Community Clean-Up", which resulted in the collection of 16 bags of garbage from the surrounding Mount Vernon High School neighborhood. Those students were: Bridget Awantoh, Joseph Hood, and David Sopko. The purpose of this community service project is to show the community Mount Vernon High School students have pride in their school and community. Since the recent clean-up, the project's coordinator has had more volunteers sign-up and plans to have another clean-up during the early part of April.
