Stratford Landing Elementary students celebrated the needs and contributions of the military child by wearing purple on Friday, April 11. Purple is the color chosen by Operation Military Kids to represent the combination of colors of the different military branches. As the school day began, a sea of purple clothing, boots and backpacks streamed down the sidewalk towards the school entry, where volunteers handed out pencils, bracelets and stickers in honor of military children.
