Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club President Jack Dobbyn assisted Santa and Sacramento Neighborhood Center (SNC) Director Teleshia Taylor-Boyd on Dec. 14 in "gifting" 60 neighborhood students who actively participated in the SNC's after-school programs for further learning. The SNC is located in Sacramento Plaza on Richmond Highway near Cooper Road, and serves about 200 children year round. It is part of the UCM family of operations. Mount Vernon Kiwanis donates about 60 gift certificates worth $10 each purchased from Wal-Mart every year at Christmas time and also supports the SNC's summer program financially.
