Rudy in his birthday suit. Rudy, a poodle rescue and one of the founders of Westgrove Dog Park, celebrated his 10th birthday in June at the Westgrove Pack's "Friday Hot Dog night" wearing the same hat he wore for his first birthday 9 years ago. Humans got home-baked brownies, and dogs got a doggie cake (recipe provided by Cindy Carriker of Villamay). The doggie cake was a huge hit with the four-legged guests.
The enormously popular summer hot dog nights attract attendees come from all over the area (some even from Maryland). A great place for both dogs and people to connect — and an opportunity for users to contribute to the upkeep of the only grass park in the county. Kudos to the Westgrove Pack Board for their hard work! — Mary Tracy
