Marine Patrol Unit Officer Carrie Bennett drops a crab pot on the body and boat found by the officers using the MPU’s side scan sonar on June 13 during a training exercise at Fountainhead Regional Park. The crab pot marks the location of the body and helps divers from the Fairfax County Police Search and Recovery Team and the Prince William County Search and Recovery Unit more safely search the scene for evidence and recover the body and boat.
