The people of the year award would be the best form of acknowledgement for those involved in auto donations and in all other charitable events. My dad was once awarded an award like this one for his achievements.

I like how this kind of events connects people. People meet, take photos, share them on their mylife.com profiles, other people see them, then they want to meet those people. It's like a domino effect.
