Zena Phillip, 9, East Silver Spring Elementary School, Silver Spring: “I like the Summer Reading Program because after school, I feel like I want to read some more. Because I read a lot of chapter books, I am in the highly gifted reading program at my school. I think about all the people who can’t read who have disabilities, and I know that I can read, so I feel like if I read I could graduate I could do lots of things to help. I like to read.”
